Advance Housing

Advance Housing, a Community Housing Development Organization, is a provider of supportive housing and services throughout Northern New Jersey. The agency opened in 1997 as a consortium of providers, and includes on its Board representation from The Arc of Bergen and Passaic Counties, Comprehensive Behavioral Healthcare, North Jersey Friendship House, and Vantage Health System, as well as consumers. The agency has become instrumental in meeting the residential needs of consumers of mental health services, and looks forward to continuing its efforts in this area.

Since 1997, the agency has developed multiple properties of affordable, lease-based housing. The agency uses a scatter-site approach and all of the units are integrated into the community, near shopping and transportation. The agency provides services to people who are renting apartments from private landlords.
