Who We Are

The Sussex County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is comprised of approximately 200 volunteers who are from all backgrounds. They include nurses physicians pharmacists paramedics EMTs Veterinarians Information Technology students retirees and administrative personnel. Recognizing that many individuals want to volunteer but do not have a lot of extra time trainings and meetings are on a flexible schedule and while volunteers are on call for emergencies they are only asked to respond if their schedule allows. Volunteers do not need previous training or medical experience but must be at least 18 years of age and be willing to submit to a background check.

What We Do

The mission of the Sussex County Medical Reserve Corps is to recruit and train a cadre of volunteers who will be able to provide assistance to the citizens of Sussex County in the event of an emergency or disaster.
