We focus on the person, who they are, how they feel and what they need. We are about helping people live as well and comfortable as they can, in their environment of choice, when life expectancy is limited. We provide individualized care, easing the burden on caregivers and surrounding the patient’s family with care and support.

Compassus is seeking volunteers who will become steady visitors to our patients living in the New Jersey area. Many patients are room bound or bedbound and lacking social interaction. If you can converse, read aloud, sing, play music, hold someone's hands and share your heart and time with our patients, please contact us for more information on how to volunteer. Volunteers may be needed to assist with administrative office activity-calling families/patients, Angel/Vigil visits, Chaplin Visits, Patient routine visits, phone calls, bereaving visits, provide reassurance/comfort/Emotional support, conversation, and companionship to the patient, provide supportive /active listening to the patient/families. Volunteers must be over the age of 18 years old, no experience needed.
