Who We Are
We provide early care and education for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old in a full day, full year program. We focus on the strengths of each individual child and and supporting them as they progress.
· Curriculum Goals - Our approach is hands-on with an emphasis on problem solving and helping children become independent, self-confident and inquisitive learners.
-
- o Social Skills – to help children feel comfortable, trust their school environment, and feel they are a part of a group
- o Emotional skills – to help children experience pride and self-confidence, and develop self-control and a positive attitude towards life
- o Cognitive skills – to help children become learners by letting them try out their own ideas and experience success, and helping them acquire learning skills
- o Physical skills – to help children increase their large and small muscle skills and feel confident about what their bodies can do
We encourage local civic groups, businesses and corporations to be active participants in the activities of the center by engaging them in fundraing and events. We encourage intergenerational interactions with the local high school and senior citizens.
