Description

Join Employment Horizons at our Annual Recognition Dinner on October 13th at Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park.  Premium event sponsors include The Walsh Family Fund of the Community Foundation of New Jersey and Christine Conti-Collins and Dan Collins. The annual fundraiser recognizes the achievements of program participants and members of the local community who support the agency’s mission to empower people with special needs to become independent, productive members of society.

Employment Horizons, an innovative nonprofit agency assists individuals with disabilities to develop job skills and attain employment and economic independence through collaboration and partnership with businesses, academic institutions, and government.  Utilizing its core business programs to provide work opportunities for individuals with disabilities in the greater Morris County area, Employment Horizons continues to make progress in removing stigmas and barriers that have impeded progress for many with disabilities.

Cynthia H. Cristello will serve as the Honorary Chair for the evening. “For me, the most remarkable thing about Employment Horizons is that even as the organization grows and expands, they continue to maintain an individual and personal focus on each program participant; guiding and motivating them to reach their full potential,” said Cristello. “Some will ultimately attain outside employment; some may perform fulfilment tasks on site. But they are all able to benefit from the camaraderie, support, and feeling of self-worth that come with socializing with peers, accomplishing a task, reaching a goal, and earning a paycheck. It is truly a special place.”

The evening will include a ticket and silent auction as well as a 50/50 raffle. Dinner honorees include Al DeBenedictis, Make a Difference Award; Toyota of Morristown, Employer of the Year; Vincent Steele, President’s Award; and Eric Smith, William Huber Achievement Award.

Employment Horizons is the premier not-for-profit agency providing comprehensive employment, training and job placement services to persons with disabilities and other disadvantages in the greater Morris County, NJ area.
