Opportunities From: Volunteer Opportunities at United Way of Northern New Jersey

Volunteer teams are needed to assist with the management of donated gift items, review to ensure all recipients have gifts, and packing gifts for families, individuals and partner nonprofit organizations.  Please select the In-person Volunteer Time Slot to register to participate.

YOU can help brighten the holiday season for someone in our local community who needs some holiday cheer!  Sign up to provide a new gift item for:

a child;

a teen;

a senior citizen; or

an adult with disabilities

through United Way of Northern New Jersey's Gifts of the Season program.

How to Help

·       Fulfill someone’s wish. Select a gift wish tag with the name and gift wish of a child, teen, senior citizen or adult with special needs in our community and purchase that gift. Gifts range from toys to clothing to household items. To sign up to fulfill a gift wish, click 2025-GOTS.

·       Organize a gift drive. Collect specific items to help United Way fulfill the holiday wishes of struggling individuals throughout our region.

·       Collect or donate gift cards. Gifts cards for local grocery stores, Walmart, and Target are needed.

·       Donate a gift online. Purchase a needed item online by going to: YouGiveGoods-GOTS-2025   Gifts will be delivered directly to us and distributed to those in need.

This is a great project for a person or a family looking to make a difference for those struggling financially this holiday season.  It's also a fun project for families or group to do together.
