Day of Action - June 21st - is the perfect time to kick off your Tools for School collection drive for new school supplies!
We know that summer has just begun, but the nice days go by fast and before you know it, we will be in August and gearing up for the return to school.
Help kids in need start the next school year off on the right foot! Help provide needed school supplies, so that all children have the tools they need to begin school ready to learn!
Running a Tools for School drive is easy!
1) Gather your friends, family, colleagues - whoever your team will be.
2) Register to hold a Tools for School drive.
3) Get materials from United Way or make your own!
4) Place collection boxes around the community, your workplace or set up you home as a drop off location for your friends.
5) SPREAD THE WORD! Use social media, your work contacts - anything to spread the word that you are collecting new school supplies.
6) Watch the supplies come in! It is fun watching as your collection grows and grows over the summer.
7) Drop off the school supplies at the appointed location in your community - either the United Way office or other designated location.
8) Get lots of thanks!
If you want more information, please register for the project and we will provide you with details about where to bring collected items, options for donating items online, ideas for sharing the word via social media, flyers and posters (materials), and answer any questions you may have.
Thanks and we look forward to working with you!
