Who We Are

Crossroads4Hope empowers all people touched by cancer to take control of their health and wellbeing. Our network embraces people touched by cancer–the diagnosed and their loved ones–empowering individuals to take control of their health through access to resources, and programs of support, education, wellbeing, and hope.

Our Vision is to be THE safe space to turn to first to restore your whole being and improve your and your family’s life beyond cancer.

Taking on Your Cancer Journey. Together.

What We Do

Crossroads4Hope is THE safe space where people turn first when they are affected by cancer to restore one’s whole being and family. As experts in oncology mental health, our work is backed by evidence that the best cancer care includes social and emotional support. Our program creates a caring community that supports persons with cancer, survivors, family members, and caregivers. We empower the behaviors that activate individuals to move through a health crisis and become resilient in their ability to take control of their health, healthcare, and well-being. All our services are delivered at no charge.

We help address the impact of cancer as a primary stressor in people’s lives through:

  • Individual Counseling & Group Support
  • Navigation and Referral Resources
  • Decision Support
  • Educational Workshops
  • Nutrition and Healthy Cooking Programs
  • Health and Wellbeing Classes
  • Social Connections
  • Survivorship
  • Grief and Bereavement

CR4H has a unique role in the oncology landscape. Visualize a pyramid, at the top, there are the organizations and institutions involved in doing research into the causes and cures of cancer; at the center, there are an equal, if not larger number focused on treating the disease today, such as hospitals and oncology healthcare providers; CR4H is at the base—the foundation of the pyramid—which is the community where patients and families live and work. It is also where few resources exist that professionally address the emotional and social support that patients and families need. We are one of the few community-based organizations whose mission it is to face cancer side-by-side those affected by the disease.

Over the last 18 years, we have experienced more than 75,000 visits to program, delivering more than 100,000 hours of life-changing programs and services at no charge to our participants. We focus on addressing the disparities people experience that prevent their ability to actively engage in their care, especially those in vulnerable communities.

CR4H is an independently registered 501(c)(3) organization in the state of New Jersey.
