Who We Are
Municipal Youth Services Commissions (MYSC) bring together key community leaders and volunteers to carefully examine the needs of the at-risk youth in their local area in order to develop appropriate prevention and intervention strategies that address those issues. Funded by grants from the Board of Chosen Freeholders the MYSC's implement a variety of programs in their local communities. Community members interested in serving on a MYSC should contact their Township/Borough Administrator.
What We Do
The Somerset County Office of Youth Services oversees 14 Municipal Youth Services Commissions in Somerset County. Each Commission is responsible for assessing the needs of youth in their local community who are at-risk of or are involved in the juvenile justice system.
