Stein Hospice

Stein Hospice is a nonprofit, faith based organization that takes care of people who are terminally ill. Join us in our mission to provide excellent care and compassionate attention to our patients.We bring our compassionate group of nurses, aides, doctors, social workers, chaplains, music therapists, aromatherapist and volunteers to the bedside of the patient, alleviating pain and all discomforts, so they can enjoy their last months and days.  J

Our volunteers provide non-medical compassionate attention to our patients residing in private homes, nursing homes and assisted living residences.  After training, you will be assigned to visit a hospice patient who wants one-to-one visitors to help them enjoy their daily life.  You may be helping them go outdoors in a wheelchair, listening to life review, bringing magazines or books to share, enjoying music together or reading preferred materials out loud. Sometimes, a caring hand to hold is what makes their day better.
