Each year, inspired by the Jewish tradition of tzedakah ("philanthropy") and tikkun olam ("repairing the world"), the Jewish Federation's Women's Philanthropy Division chooses and commits their efforts to two charitable programs - one local and one in Israel - and works throughout the following year to educate our community and raise funds for them. This year, the Women's Philanthropy Division is focusing their efforts on assisting severely disabled children in Israel and our tri-county area through Aleh Negev, a Jewish National Fund Partner in the Negev, and The Arc's Jerry Davis Center for Children in Families in Manville, New Jersey.
Please join us for our upcoming Women's Philanthropy Spring Event to raise funds for these two programs as we tour Blairsden, a mansion in the beautiful Somerset Hills. Blairsden, the largest of the Somerset Hills Mansions from the Gilded Era, will be open to the public for just one month, for the first time in decades. Built in 1898, Blairsden was designed by the architectural firm which designed the New York Public Library, United States Senate, and House of Representatives offices in Washington D.C. It has been redesigned by 40 local designers for the month of May only.
There will be a luncheon to follow at Delicious Heights located at 285 Main Street Bedminster, NJ. Pasta, fish, and vegetarian options are available.
