Children in foster care need compassionate, dedicated community members to look out for their best interests and speak up when needed. CASA volunteers are partnered with a child or group of siblings who are involved in the child welfare system. Volunteers spend time with the child/children, gather information about his or her needs from the family, caretakers, teachers, doctors, and caseworkers, and make informed recommendations to the family court about the child’s future. The role of a CASA volunteer is simple: to advocate for whatever is in the best interest of the child/children. You don't need any educational background or special skills; we will provide all the training you need. For approximately 15 hours per month, you can make a difference in a child's life. We hope you join us (and children in foster care do, too)!
